The main objective of a Serviceman is to inform growers and or farm foremen of company policies and programs and advise them on proper management practices to help achieve the best production of a healthy chicken.  The Serviceman will assist and advise on scheduling and placement of birds as well as make sure all inventories are reported and   coordinating with the feed scheduler is done for proper delivery of the needed feed. 

One duty is to make sure the grower has all supplies needed and make sure the supplies are being used properly for the betterment of the bird.  Communication with the grower is vital and will be done on a weekly basis.  A weekly account of the mortality will be reported to the accounting department.  Servicemen tour the farms to inspect the facility and equipment for adequacy, sanitation, and efficiency of the operation. A walk through of the poultry houses will be done on a regular basis to observe birds, and to ensure all equipment is working properly, sanitation and to the best efficiency of the operation.

Servicemen may recommend laboratory testing of diseased chickens, feeds, and supplements or gather samples and take to the laboratory for analysis.  May have to travel up to 100 miles a day in a company owned truck while covering assigned route.

 

Candidate must be able to communicate with others well, read and speak the English Language and have in their possession a valid NC Drivers license.
