Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) - Flexible Schedules & Competitive Pay

Yorktown, NY | Part-Time, Full-Time, or Weekend-Only | $19.55 - $21.09/hour

We're seeking Certified Home Health Aides (HHAs) in New York to join our VNS Westchester care team. As a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA), you'll provide compassionate, hands-on care that helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Important: You must have an active New York State HHA certification to be considered for this role.

What You'll Do as a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and dressing.

• Take and record vital signs, report changes, and assist with medication reminders under nurse supervision.

• Provide mobility support, including transfers, walking assistance, and help with mobility aids.

• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, dishwashing, and maintain a safe living environment.

• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care teams while documenting all care provided.

• Follow infection control practices, maintain confidentiality, and complete required ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Active New York State HHA Certification (required)

• Reliable transportation

• Authorization to work in the United States

• Fluent in English (speaking and understanding)

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality

• Ability to prepare simple meals and perform light housekeeping

• Completion of a NY State Department of Health-approved HHA training program (or equivalent)

• Basic literacy and math skills

• Must be 18 years or older

Compensation & Benefits
