Data Management Technician (CMMS):

Responsible for developing and managing processes and procedures to collect and validate data center facility equipment information and ingest this data into a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).  The CMMS will be the repository for Equipment Data, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems in mission-critical and high-risk Data Center environments.

Description

The primary objective of this role is to implement a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to establish a world-class facility maintenance program. This involves collecting and integrating equipment data into the CMMS. The data will include various Equipment Attributes as specified by the client CMMS team. Additionally, the role aims to utilize external resources during the construction phase of projects to gather and verify this data, ensuring its accuracy as part of the construction and commissioning process.

This role will establish procedures for collecting equipment data during the construction and commissioning phases of new data center projects, using various commissioning tools, such as Cx Alloy and client specifications. Once established, these procedures will be actively managed and continually improved to ensure efficient and accurate equipment data collection.


Responsibilities

· Development and continuous improvement of Data Collection processes & procedures

· Providing training to Contractors on these processes & procedures

· Auditing of Data collected by Contractors and Commissioning Agents to ensure compliance

· Coordinating with the CMMS team to align the data to be collected

· Key Performance Indicators report creation and review

· Perform other duties as required


Key Qualifications

· General understanding of equipment related to Data Centers 

· General understanding of how to read and interpret Construction Documents

· Desktop application experience with data spreadsheets

· Excellent verbal/written communication skills

· Ability to prioritize and demonstrate excellent time management

· Must be a team player committed to working in a continuously improving, quality environment


Physical Factors  

· Occasionally on their feet for up to 8 hours per day.


Work Schedule

· M-F 8 hours per day with an average 40-hour work week

· Overtime may be required depending on business needs


Travel

· Occasional travel to US Project job sites may be required


Education

· High School diploma or GED equivalent

· Experience in a mission-critical site environment preferred


Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.

· Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment

· Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments

· Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks

· Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly

· Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.

· Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors

· Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses

· Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables

· Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility

· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow

· Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection

· Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required
