Before School: 6:45am-8:40am
After School: 2:45pm-6pm
Half Day: 12:30pm-6pm
School Breaks: 7am-5:30pm

Position Summary: Join the Southern Tier Community Center (an entity of the Children's Home) as a Part Time School Age Child Care Site Supervisor. The Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising and evaluating all Teacher Assistants while working directly with the School Age Director in the implementation of the program and policies. The supervisor should create and maintain an atmosphere which is beneficial to the physical and emotional health of the youth. Supervisors are responsible for guiding and directing the children in care and participating in assessments of the progress of each youth.



Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage a site within the School-Age Child Care program (SACC)
  • Recruit / enroll participants through communication and as a liaison with the schools, government, and community agencies, local employers, and families
  • Assure compliance with all NYS OCFS registration requirements as they relate to the SACC program and staff qualifications, etc. at the assigned site.
  • Assure accurate records of participants' database, program data, attendance records, and staff time cards
  • Maintain the safety and happiness of the children in the program
  • Act as an advocate for youth in matters pertaining to the community at large and our funding sources
  • Liaison between school principal, guidance counselors, teachers, and other school faculty and staff
  • Work closely with parents regarding all child issues

Requirements

Education:

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited College or University in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field - OR - School-Age Child Care Credential - OR - other office recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period required

Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience working with children under 13 years of age required
  • Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required
