Position: Career Support Specialist- Per Diem

Reports To: Site Manager/Assistant Site Manager

 

Hours: Per Diem; evenings and weekends as needed (flexible, based on participant and employer needs) Up to 20 Hours per week

 

 

Overview

Triangle has an immediate opening for a Per Diem Job Coach / Career Support Specialist in Day Services. This role supports adults with disabilities in achieving meaningful employment through individualized job coaching, onboarding support, interview preparation, and ongoing workplace assistance. The ideal candidate is flexible, community-focused, and committed to promoting independence, self-advocacy, and successful employment outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides individualized job coaching to participants at employment sites and in the community
  • Supports participants with job onboarding, including orientation, training, and understanding workplace expectations
  • Assists participants with interview preparation, resume review, mock interviews, and job application support
  • Offers on-the-job supports to reinforce skills, productivity, workplace behavior, and independence
  • Supports participants during job transitions, schedule changes, or role adjustments
  • Assists with the development of natural supports in the workplace to promote long-term success
  • Communicates professionally with employers to support successful placements and address job-related concerns
  • Provides transportation to and from employment-related activities, interviews, and job sites as needed
  • Supports participants in building soft skills related to employment, including communication, self-advocacy, and workplace etiquette
  • Collaborates with site leadership and team members to ensure employment supports align with individual goals
  • Submits required documentation, billing, and progress notes in a timely manner using Penelope software

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; additional Education preferred
  • One to Three years of Human Services experience preferred
  • Some Marketing and/or Sales experience preferred
  • First Aid/CPR and Safety Care or willingness to become certified.
  • Massachusetts Driver's License and clean driving record required
  • Personal vehicle required (Travel Reimbursement)
  • Must clear state and federal background check

 

Language Skills

  • Ability to verbally communicate
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and write documents.
  • Ability to respond and navigate common inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies, or family members.
