Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Custodial Staff member at the YMCA. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment for all members and visitors by maintaining public spaces, bathrooms, locker rooms, and other facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms, locker rooms, and shower areas.
Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet tissue in bathrooms and locker rooms.
Empty trash bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of public spaces, including hallways, common areas, and entrances.
Promptly address spills, messes, and other immediate cleaning needs to maintain a safe environment.
Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed (e.g., changing light bulbs or unclogging drains).
Report any damages, necessary repairs, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Comply with all health and safety regulations and protocols.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is a plus, but not required.
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment.
Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Schedule:
Sunday, Monday Hours: 9am to 5pm
