PCI is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for its Albany 576 operations based in Malta, NY. This individual will provide project management support to commercial projects and the following scopes: specialty walls and ceilings, and clean rooms. This role will be based in Albany, but a willingness to travel or relocate based on specific project needs is required. 

This individual will also be responsible for the following duties:

  • Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
  • Prepare RFI’s and submittals
  • Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
  • Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
  • Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation 
  • Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program

Salary range: $95,000-115,000 annual salary plus a non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

 

Basic Requirements

  • A minimum of 4-7 years’ experience in construction management is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline, or comparable work experience. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught.
  • Customer service skills, such as working with customers and building strong relationships.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with commercial interior construction and/or clean-room scopes is preferred
  • OSHA Certification
  • Willing to travel/relocate based on project needs
