Head of Thought Leadership & Content Marketing, Financial Advisor Services

The Head of FAS Thought Leadership & Content Marketing is responsible for shaping and elevating Vanguard’s voice in the advisor marketplace. This leader translates market dynamics, investment insights, and practice management expertise into clear, compelling content that resonates across Broker Dealer, RIA, and Bank channels. They will direct a cohesive content ecosystem—spanning digital, events, and multimedia—to strengthen Vanguard’s credibility and influence.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Content Leadership

  • Develop and execute an enterprise‑aligned content strategy that reflects Vanguard’s investment philosophy and advisor value proposition.
  • Prioritize high‑impact themes, ensuring content anticipates advisor needs and advances Vanguard’s market relevance.
  • Partner across investment, product, marketing, and sales teams to produce differentiated commentaries, white papers, and insights.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong partnerships with sales channels, product owners, investment teams (IMG, PRD), ISG economists, practice management, legal, compliance, and communications.
  • Serve as a central integrator, ensuring subject‑matter expertise is transformed into advisor‑ready narratives.

Team Leadership

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of strategists, writers, editors, designers, analysts, and videographers.
  • Set a high bar for clarity, creativity, and accuracy; develop talent and champion innovative storytelling formats.

Content Creation & Innovation

  • Deliver substantive, data‑driven content that educates and inspires advisor action.
  • Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and editorial quality.
  • Drive experimentation with multimedia and interactive content to increase reach and impact.

Performance Measurement

  • Implement analytics frameworks to track engagement, reach, and business outcomes.
  • Use data and stakeholder feedback to refine content strategy and demonstrate ROI.

Industry Presence & Thought Leadership

  • Oversee flagship programs, including keynotes, webinars, podcasts, and media partnerships.
  • Expand Vanguard’s share of voice and reinforce its position as a trusted source for investment and practice insights.
