The AV Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for reviewing and interpreting complex project solicitations and supporting the design and proposal process for audiovisual and collaboration technology systems. This role will work closely with end users to identify operational needs and develop cost effective AV solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and understand complex project solicitations.
- Submitting RFI's through the design process.
- Working with end users to assess their needs to develop cost effective systems.
- Provide support for site surveys, client meetings and walk-throughs.
- Develop Bill of Materials with associated cost.
- Develop Scope of Work to go along with Bill of Materials.
- Complete client proposal to include labor estimates, travel, shipping, etc.
- Actively work with manufacturers for project registrations and discounts.
- Provide technical support to project managers.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.Â
- Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).
- 5+ years Audio Visual Experience.
- AVIXA CTS certification.
- CTS-I and or CTS-D Certification (preferred).
- Working knowledge of audio-visual manufactures product lines to include, but not limited to: Extron. Q-Sys, Crestron, Biamp, Logitech, Cisco, Poly, Barco, etc.
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced engineering environment with strict deadlines.
- Continued enthusiasm to learn new product lines.
- Knowledge of various collaboration platforms to include, Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc.
- Working knowledge of basic network typography as it pertains to AV to include streaming audio and video protocols.
