Pi Software Developer

Catalyx is seeking a Technical PI Developer tosupport the administration, development, and technical configuration of a PISystem environment. This senior, hands-on role is ideal for a technicallystrong professional with a software development mindset and experience workingwith PI, equipment integrations, and GMP-regulated environments.

Responsibilities

·       Serve as a senior technical developer forthe PI System, supporting administration, configuration, troubleshooting,and development activities.

·       Support the integration and onboarding of newequipment and systems into the PI environment.

·       Create, modify, and manage PI tags andrelated configurations.

·       Perform technical compatibility assessments fornew equipment, systems, and data sources.

·       Work with laboratory and manufacturing equipmentto understand how data is generated, collected, and integrated into PI.

·       Troubleshoot PI-related technical issues andidentify opportunities for system improvements.

·       Collaborate with IT, engineering, laboratory,manufacturing, and other technical stakeholders to ensure reliable datacollection and system integration.

·       Support work within a GMP-regulatedenvironment, following applicable procedures, documentation requirements, andvalidation practices.

·       Assist with technical documentation, testing,change control, and other activities associated with regulated systemimplementations.

·       Apply an understanding of networkingconcepts to troubleshoot connectivity and integration issues betweenequipment, systems, and PI.

·       Participate in PI administration and developmentactivities, including configuration and ongoing system maintenance.

Requirements

·       5+ years of professional experience in technical,software development, PI, automation, engineering, or related role.

·       Hands-on experience with OSIsoft PI / AVEVAPI System administration, development, configuration, or support.

·       Strong technical and problem-solving skills withthe ability to get into the weeds of complex PI and equipmentintegration issues.

·       Experience working with PI tags, datacollection, interfaces/connectors, and system configuration.

·       Understanding of fundamental networkingconcepts and troubleshooting.

·       Ability to work effectively in a GMP orother regulated environment.

·       Strong technical documentation and communicationskills.

·       Ability to work cross-functionally with IT,engineering, laboratory, and manufacturing teams.
