HR Generalist at Red Leviathan

As an HR Generalist at Red Leviathan (RedLev), you will provide responsive, compliant HR support across RedLev and its partner companies. This mid-level role supports onboarding, HR administration, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and process improvement. The ideal candidate brings hands-on HR experience, sound judgment, strong follow-through, and a service-first mindset.

What You'll Work On

  • Lead onboarding, including new hire paperwork, BambooHR setup, benefits enrollment support, and first-week coordination.
  • Maintain employee records, personnel files, HRIS data, employment changes, leave administration, and payroll-related documentation.
  • Support benefits administration, including employee questions, enrollment changes, HSA updates, retirement plan coordination, invoice reconciliation, and vendor communications.
  • Administer HR compliance activities, including handbook updates, employment notices, I-9 documentation, policy administration, and required recordkeeping.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource for employee questions, employee relations, and workplace concerns.
  • Support HR operations across RedLev, Greencastle, Cavalry Talent Partners, and other partner companies.
  • Improve HR processes, documentation, communication, consistency, and operational efficiency.


Success in the First 90 Days

Within your first 90 days, you will be expected to:

  • Build strong relationships with employees, managers, and leaders across RedLev and partner companies.
  • Become proficient in BambooHR, HR processes, benefits, compliance requirements, and the RedLev service model.
  • Independently manage onboarding, employee lifecycle transactions, benefits support, and day-to-day HR inquiries.
  • Identify and begin implementing practical improvements to HR processes, documentation, communication, or efficiency.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, accountability, and a service-first mindset.


Who You'll Work With

  • Employees, managers, executives, HR leadership, and cross-functional teams across RedLev and partner companies.
  • External benefits, retirement, insurance, compliance, payroll, and HR technology partners.


Qualifications

Required

  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience across onboarding, benefits, HRIS, compliance, employee relations, or performance processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, judgment, communication, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, maintain accuracy, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of employment compliance, HR documentation, benefits administration, I-9/W-4 requirements, and personnel records.


Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with BambooHR or a comparable HRIS.
  • Experience improving HR workflows, documentation, systems, or automation.
  • Military affiliation or experience supporting a veteran-focused organization.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or comparable HR certification.
