The AV Post-Sales Engineer is responsible for reviewing and interpreting complex project requirements. This role will confirm bill of material and create detailed drawing packages including floor plans, elevations, details, and line drawings. Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and understand complex project solicitations.
- Develop functional line drawings and infrastructure for complete drawing package using AutoCAD and/or Visio.
- Develop rack elevations, equipment mounting details coordinated with MEP and Low Voltage.
- Provide technical support to installation teams, field engineers, and service technicians.
- Develop/Confirm Bill of Materials with associated cost.
- Develop/Confirm Scope of Work to go along with Bill of Materials.
- Provide support for site surveys, client meetings, and walk-throughs.
- Propose innovative solutions to design issues.
- Work with end users to assess their needs to develop cost effective systems.
- Complete client proposal to include labor estimates, travel, shipping, etc.
- Work with manufacturers for product registrations and discounts.
- Commissioning of advanced AV solutions, as needed.
- Provide technical support to project managers.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).
- 5+ years Audio Visual Experience.
- AVIXA CTS certification.
- CTS-I and or CTS-D Certification (preferred).
- Proficiency in audio-visual manufactures product lines and software to include, but not limited to: Extron, Q-Sys, Crestron, Biamp, Logitech, Cisco, Poly, Barco, etc.
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced engineering environment with strict deadlines.
- Continued enthusiasm to learn new product lines.
- Working knowledge of network typography as it pertains to AV to include streaming audio and video protocols.
Work Environment:
This job is fully in person, on site.
