The Next Steps Coordinator plays a vital role in this mission by leading a thriving volunteer team, creating environments where people feel known and loved, and partnering with individuals to shape a lasting faith. They oversee multiple areas of ministry that are pivotal in the spiritual development of people.
We value experience in ministry, but what we're looking for is a proven leader in recruiting, developing, and caring for others. An ideal candidate is someone who loves the local church and wants to bring energy, excellence, and spiritual leadership to its people.
What You Will Do*:
Support the Location Pastor in building a life-giving, vibrant culture at The Life Church.
Lead and develop the Next Steps Team to serve with passion, excellence and consistency.
Ensure every individual who makes a salvation decision is supported and encouraged in this special step by leading the Fresh Start Team.
Create meaningful Discovery experiences by driving attendance and impact through proactive communication, preparing environments and lessons, and leading the team with clarity and purpose.
Develop leaders and build the Life Group culture while taking responsibility for its effectiveness, reporting and measurable outcomes.
Oversee Water Baptisms by coordinating all registrant touchpoints and managing logistics to ensure a seamless, celebratory moment for every individual.
Facilitate the local experience for Leadership Foundations and Life Leadership Bible College by driving enrollment and providing on-site support for participants throughout the process.
Strategically support the Location Pastor in coordinating, mobilizing and tracking pastoral care.
Assist in the planning, preparation and execution of churchwide events.
Provide leadership during weekend services, regular office hours, and occasional evenings for ministerial volunteer connections and special events.

Strong relational and communication skills, with the ability to lead adults and relate well to individuals
A proven track record of leadership, preferably in a ministry, team, education, or service-based environment
High personal standards in organization, follow-through, privacy and team development
Comfort with digital tools and a willingness to learn new systems
A flexible, team-first attitude and a heart to assist in other areas as needed
