A little about this position:

This position is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of all electrical and control systems for chair lifts, gondolas, and surface lifts, in compliance with service and safety standards, industry best practices, and applicable state regulations. Work may be performed independently or under the supervision of a qualified technician. This role is both proactive and reactive in nature—requiring team members to perform preventative electrical maintenance to minimize equipment failure, while also responding quickly and effectively to lift outages and electrical faults. Duties include working with lift control systems, motors, drives, sensors, communication systems, and safety circuits to ensure reliable and safe lift operations. This position follows a 4–10s schedule and may require work on weekends, holidays, evenings, at heights, and in adverse weather conditions.

Preferred Skills/Certifications:

  • 2 year Trade School.
  • 3-4 years of electrical experience.
  • 2+ years of ski industry experience.
  • Level II magnetic particle NDT certified.
  • Riggers/Signal Person Certification Card.
  • OSHA 10 card.
  • Fork Lift/Telehandler Certification.
  • Industrial Electrical experience.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Graduate from an electrical course or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of the ANSI and NEC code.
  • Must be able to communicate efficiently and be able to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Motor Controls and DC/AC Drives.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems.
  • Knowledge of Relay Logic and Low Voltage.
  • Must be able to accurately use and maintain precision measuring devices.
  • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to further develop skills, abilities and knowledge on their own.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Be able to work flexible work schedules and long hours to complete emergency repairs.
  • Have a strong understanding and working knowledge of OSHA.
  • Provide own set of basic hand and power tools.
  • This position requires experience managing, operating, and maintaining high voltage systems.  High voltage is defined as 12KV transmission lines, switches, breakers, and associated infrastructure and the step down transformers required to regulator power into a usable voltage and amperage for Mammoth’s lifts and facility infrastructure.
  • This is a flex job- must be willing to do mechanical work.
  • Must be willing to work at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
  • Provide own set of basic hand and power tools.
  • Must have a neat and clean appearance in compliance with company grooming standards.
  • Must be capable of standing or walking for more than 50% if 10 hour shift.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift, push, and pull 100lbs or more.
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull 50 lbs or more.
