Job Description
The Front Load Driver is responsible for servicing commercial customers by safely operating a front-load truck to collect and transport waste.
This role requires precision in operating hydraulic equipment, navigating tight commercial environments, and maintaining high productivity and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong vehicle control, including backing, turning, and maneuvering in tight or congested environments
- Comply with all applicable DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures
- Perform and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIR)Â
- Execute safe backing and maneuvering techniques, especially in tight enclosures and commercial propertiesÂ
- Report all safety concerns, incidents, or mechanical issues immediately
Route Execution & Productivity
- Complete routes safely, on time, and in accordance with service and productivity expectationsÂ
- Navigate high-density service areas including alleys, enclosures, and industrial sitesÂ
- Maintain productivity standards and communicate service delays or issues to dispatchÂ
Equipment Operation & Waste Collection
- Operate hydraulic lifting systems to safely service commercial dumpsters (2–8+ cubic yards)Â
- Position truck and align forks accurately to engage containers and complete lifts safelyÂ
- Ensure all containers are fully emptied and returned to proper placement without property damageÂ
- Monitor lifting operations using mirrors and direct line of sight to detect hazards or debrisÂ
- Identifyand report unacceptable or hazardous materialsin accordance withcompany guidelinesÂ
- Clean up any spilled waste or debris tomaintainsafe and professional customer sitesÂ
- Follow all safe operating procedures to prevent equipment damage and ensure efficient route executionÂ

Customer Service & Site Standards
- Provide professional service to commercial customersÂ
- Leave customer sites clean and free of debrisÂ
- Communicate service-related issues or requests to operationsÂ
- Represent the company professionally at all times while in the field
Documentation & Communication
- Complete DVIRs, route sheets, and service logs accuratelyÂ
- Maintain communication with dispatch and operations leadership throughout the shiftÂ
Safety & Compliance Expectations
- This role is responsible for the safe operation of equipment and adherence to all safety procedures in the field.
- The Safety Department is responsible fort raining, policy development, and compliance oversight. Drivers are expected to follow all established protocols and participate in required safety training.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsementÂ
- Valid DOT medical certificationÂ
- Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles in tight environmentsÂ
- Strong communication and customer service skillsÂ
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of CDL driving experienceÂ
- Experience with front-load or hydraulic equipmentÂ
Physical Requirements
- Frequent climbing in and out of truckÂ
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditionsÂ
Work Environment & Schedule
- Full-time, early morning start timesÂ
- Monday–Friday with occasional SaturdaysÂ
- Work performed in commercial and industrial environments
