Position Summary

Defense Holdings, Inc. (DHi) is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to manage and maintain IT infrastructure and systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing servers, networks, and databases while ensuring system security and availability.

This role requires expertise in IT systems management, a proactive approach to troubleshooting, and the ability to support multiple stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Management & Maintenance

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and networks.
  • Ensure that all systems are running optimally, including monitoring server performance and applying necessary updates.
  • Perform regular backups, disaster recovery testing, and system optimizations.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols to protect the organization’s data and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practices.
  • Conduct routine security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Technical Support

  • Provide technical support to staff and resolve system-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with IT project planning, testing, and implementation.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in systems administration or IT support.
  • Proficiency in server administration, network management, and IT security protocols.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).
  • Experience in government contracting or defense-related IT systems.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.

Work Environment
  • Professional office environment (or hybrid/remote if applicable).
  • May require occasional travel.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance may be required.
