Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our team at Proof Kitchen & Bar. The ideal candidate is dedicated to delivering high-quality dishes, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to work with premium ingredients, including spirit-infused culinary creations. If you have a love for cooking, attention to detail, and a commitment to consistency, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standard recipes, including spirit-infused dishes.
  • Ensure all food is prepared consistently and to high standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in compliance with health regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including prep areas, cooking stations, and storage.
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen while maintaining accuracy and speed.
  • Assist in inventory management, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures as outlined by the kitchen leadership team.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef 

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a professional kitchen (preferred but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Passion for food and willingness to learn new techniques and styles.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
