We are seeking someone with a positive attitude who enjoys learning and can handle both equipment yard work as well as light maintenance work. Day in the Life: Equipment Yard Associate Loading, unloading and moving equipment and keeping it stored correctly and neatly on lot Keep check in/out log with serial numbers and tag numbers for accurate inventory records and daily forklift inspection logs Conduct check of equipment fluid levels, ensure proper attachments and manuals are with equipment, and ensure customers/contractors load and secure equipment correctly before it leaves the lot Park equipment with leaks on concrete and ensure fluids are properly caught Inspect yard/building perimeter periodically for repairs or safety issues Need to Succeed: Good communication, customer service and excellent attendance Recent computer skills to learn systems for equipment check in/check out and record keeping Eye for safety, attention to detail, ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in the elements (all types of weather) Forklift certification with knowledge of equipment is a plus Life at James River EquipmentAbout the Benefits In addition to a competitive hourly rate of pay (negotiable based on experience), the successful candidate will receive: Extended health, dental, and vision insurance (day one of employment) Health savings account options Flexible spending account options Disability and life insurance 401k with employer match and profit share (after 90 days of employment) Annual tools and PPE allowance  Paid time off and paid holidays Employee recognition rewards program Opportunities to attend a yearly cruise for top performers Opportunities for leadership and professional growth  Quarterly group outings, company events, and employee recognition programs Upon joining James River Equipment, you will be welcomed into a supportive, collaborative, and diverse team that takes pride in a job well done and is appreciated for the work they do.
