This role is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of commissioning activities for instrumentation and control systems within complex manufacturing environments. The position works closely with engineering, construction, and operations stakeholders to ensure systems are prepared for safe and reliable operation. The role requires a strong focus on quality, documentation accuracy, and adherence to safety and project standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute a structured commissioning process for instrumentation and control systems, including verification, testing, calibration, loop checks, and functional validation of field instruments and control systems.
  • Perform detailed system walkdowns of projects containing I&C components to identify deficiencies or variances, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
  • Conduct inspections and functional testing to confirm system readiness and support commissioning, startup, and system handover activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to validate control system performance, logic, and system integration.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, procedures, and permit requirements during commissioning activities in live plant or construction environments.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update commissioning documentation including test reports, checklists, punch lists, and as-built records reflecting system changes.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.

Skills Required:

  • 3+ years of experience commissioning I&C systems in a mission-critical environment, including field instruments, control valves, and PLC/DCS/SCADA systems.
  • Hands-on experience with calibration, loop checks, functional testing, and system validation.
  • Ability to perform system walkdowns, validate system readiness, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions with engineering and operations teams.
  • Strong understanding of control and instrumentation documentation, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control narratives.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, with experience working in live plant or construction environments while following all safety procedures.
  • Ability to produce clear, accurate commissioning documentation, including test reports, checklists, and as-built updates.
  • Semiconductor experience strongly preferred

Education / Licenses / Certifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Relevant instrumentation or automation certifications preferred.
