Description
This entry level position is an opportunity to learn about the commercial construction industry from the ground up! Â As an entry level Field Tech/Construction Inspector you will receive training and certifications to perform testing and inspections for construction projects located in Northern Virginia. Â Â You'll work on construction sites to observe and report on the placement and testing of materials (concrete, soils, asphalt, masonry). Â You will also receive training to read and interpret construction plans for proposed buildings, pavement, and utility improvements. Â You'll conduct regular site visits to heavy construction sites to observe, test materials, and report on findings. Â You'll be the eyes, ears, and boots on the ground, reporting back to the Project Manager / Division Manager to ensure projects proceed according to specifications. Â This position requires local travel in company vehicles, a valid license, good written communication skills, and occasional weekend / evening work.Â

Requirements
- Must be able to commute to Manassas, Virginia. Â WDP provides company trucks for travel to and from job sites.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Availability to work overtime (including weekends)
- Must be physically able to lift heavy materials occasionally in excess of 40lbs.
- Must have good communication skills (oral/written)
