We are looking for an Lead Teacher to join our team! The Associate Teacher is an active member of the childcare center and partners with Associate Teachers, and other staff, on the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care.

Lead Teachers will develop partnerships with parents/children’s caregivers to engage and encourage family participation in the program.

Our centers are National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredited and our teams make this work possible!

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 18 years of age

  • Associate degree in ECE or related related

  • Experience working with children of all abilities in a childcare or school-based setting is preferred

  • Certified in Pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curriculum plans providing age-appropriate instruction and supervision for the individual child or group of children.

  • Interact with children at all times in a nurturing and developmentally appropriate way, while encouraging self-help.

  • Assure the supervision and safety of children including the enforcement of child release policies.

  • Perform child observation, child assessment and timely records keeping.

  • Supervise classroom Associate Teachers, Foster Grandparents, and Volunteers.

  • Interact with families in a respectful and nonjudgmental manner.

  • Work with Agency personnel and community agencies to address the individual needs of children and families.

  • Promote and model developmentally appropriate practices, good hygiene and nutrition.

  • Adhere to all program and agency policies.

  • Participate in ongoing staff development, in-services, and additional meetings.

  • Abide by all NH Child care licensing rules and NAEYC standards.

Hours:

  • Full-time, 40 hour position.

  • Monday - Friday with hours expected to primarily be 8:00-4:45, but subject to change based on program needs.

Compensation:

  • $22 - 28.00; based off education and experience
