Student - Friends of Aine Data Assistant (Work Study Only)

The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Data Assistant for our partner organization Friends of Aine in Manchester, NH. This position will help build a temporary database for the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build reports, dashboards, power queries, pivot tables and more
• Clean, organize, and validate large datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Collaborate with team members to identify key metrics and data requirements
• Assist in automating repetitive data tasks using Excel formulas or macros
• Perform regular data quality checks and troubleshoot discrepancies

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
• Work study part of financial aid package
• Students with work study may be prioritized
• Reliable transportation
• Microsoft Excel knowledge

Learning Outcomes:

• Gain experience in database design and implementation.
• Develop skills in advanced Excel features, including Power Query and PivotTables.
• Learn best practices for data management, cleaning, and visualization.
• Collaborate on real-world data projects with a professional Data Analyst.

Work Schedule:

• 2-5 hours per week, primarily Mondays, flexible
