Engineering Estimator Position

Shea Concrete Products currently has an opening for an Engineering Estimator at our brand new 22,000 sq ft facility located in Nottingham, NH.  This is a full-time non-exempt position.

Job Description Summary

The Engineering Estimator is responsible for assisting customers by providing technical solutions, generating drawings, handling customer inquiries and orders, and then facilitate orders through the production and delivery process.  This is an upbeat, fast-paced, multi-tasking position that requires accuracy in meeting project deadlines. 

Duties include:

  • Drafting capabilities using Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Excel to generate submittals and production drawings (AutoCAD experience is a plus)
  • Reading plans to produce takeoffs and generate estimates and orders
  • Generate sales quotes and orders
  • Provide accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial projects, ensuring that remain competitive while maintaining quality standards.
  • Provide support during the bidding process. 
  • Communicate with customers regarding orders, submittals, production, and delivery
  • Follow order through production to delivery in order to provide a seamless customer experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience 
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and (AutoCAD or Solid Works is a plus)
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, organized and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
  • Able to manage multiple jobs running at various stages
  • Enthusiastic, confident individual with a desire to work hard
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capable of lifting and carrying 20lbs
