About The Position

 We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for a locum tenens position at a hospital in New Hampshire. This 18-day assignment, spread across multiple weekends from August 2025 to January 2026, offers 24-hour call coverage starting Fridays at 5 PM and ending Mondays at 8 AM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with acute care, potential rounding on Fridays, and taking call all weekend. Responsibilities include attending high-risk births, seeing nursery and pediatric admissions within 24 hours, and primarily covering pediatric patients in the ER and nursery. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide critical pediatric care in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide acute care for pediatric patients

• Attend high-risk births as needed

• Perform rounds on pediatric inpatients

• Manage nursery and pediatric admissions within 24 hours

• Cover pediatric patients in the Emergency Room

• Oversee care in the nursery

• Collaborate with OB team and other healthcare providers

• Communicate effectively with families and caregivers

• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using Cerner EMR system

• Ensure high-quality patient care and follow all hospital protocols and safety standards

• Adapt to the hospital's existing workflows and practices


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in New Hampshire

• Experience in pediatric hospitalist care required

• Comfort with managing a diverse range of pediatric cases in both ER and nursery settings

• Flexibility to work weekend shifts on specified dates

• Assignment dates: 8/22-8/25, 9/19-9/22, 9/26-9/29, 10/10-10/13, 10/24-10/27, 1/2/2026-1/5/2026
