Manufacturing Engineer – Swiss style Machining

Millennium Precision LLC., an industry leader of precision Swiss style machining in the production of complex component parts, is looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer-Swiss CNC Machinist to our team. 

 

 

Description:

This is a hands-on position requiring five plus years of Manufacturing Process Engineering, CNC programming, knowledge of M and G codes, feeds speeds, surface finishes, cutting tool applications and machine set-up of Swiss style lathes. Must possess the ability to work from design prints, calculate feeds and speeds, cycle times, select cutting tools, collets, guide bushings, program CNC codes, document processes, set-up Swiss style lathes, prove out the program, optimize the process and train operators on the process.


Requirements:


  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing engineering experience to include several years CNC programming with Swiss style lathes supporting machining process developments and improvements within regulated industries.
  • Solid knowledge of metal cutting tools geometry and applications.
  • CAD/CAM software experience. Experience with SolidWorks preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated time management skills in oversight of multiple priorities.
  • Ability to train and motivate operators in established manufacturing standard work procedures
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
