Aerospace is at a turning point — costs are rising, supply chains are strained, and old ways of building can’t keep up. At Neon Aero, we’re breaking that mold. We move fast, think big, and combine start-up agility with aerospace expertise to design, build, and scale aircraft in ways the industry has never seen. Our team leverages automation, AI-driven tools, and a fully connected digital backbone to accelerate innovation and reduce barriers to production.

Here, you won’t just take a job — you’ll help reinvent how the world flies. If you’re ready to solve complex problems, push technology further, and work alongside some of the brightest minds in aerospace, this is your chance to make a real impact.

At Neon Aero, quality isn’t a checkpoint—it’s built into everything we ship. As a Product Quality Inspector, you’ll ensure our manufactured parts and assemblies meet rigorous aerospace standards for safety, reliability, and performance. You’ll own inspections across the full production lifecycle—in-process, first article, and final—and play a critical role in verifying every component is compliant before it’s cleared for shipment or flight.

Why this role matters:

  • Visual inspections: Perform detailed visual inspections to defined standards.
  • Dimensional & physical inspections: Inspect incoming aerospace parts using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.).
  • Engineering compliance: Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to validate conformance to design requirements and tolerance levels.
  • First Article Inspection (FAI): Perform and document FAIs in accordance with AS9102 standards to validate initial production meets customer specifications.
  • Precision measurement: Use advanced tools such as CMM, borescopes, micrometers, and calipers to validate high-precision tolerances.
  • Documentation & traceability: Record data and maintain accurate quality records (logs, reports, CoCs), ensuring full traceability for every inspected part; review shop job packages.
  • Discrepancy reporting: Identify and document nonconformances (NCRs) and partner with Quality Engineering, Engineering, and Production on corrective actions or rework recommendations.
  • Audit support: Assist with internal/external QMS audits for compliance with AS9100 and regulatory standards (FAA).
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll Bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; technical degree or specialized aerospace training preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Expertise reading and interpreting aerospace blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Compliance: Familiarity with AS9100 standards and FAA regulations.
  • Active FAA A&P License or Repairman Certificate preferred
  • Experience with software such as SAP, Epicor, or CATIA/CAD tools. preferred
  • Ability to pass a visual acuity exam (Snellen 20/25 or similar) and color discrimination test.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced factory environment.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and lift up to 40 lbs periodically.

Why Join Us:

  • Work alongside elite engineering talent and innovators from across aerospace and tech.
  • Be part of a team moving faster than the industry standard.
  • Shape solutions that are lower-cost, autonomous, and scalable — the future of aviation/aerospace.
  • Competitive compensation, growth opportunities, and full health benefits (health, vision, dental, 401K) designed to support you in and out of work.
