TITLE: Utility & Inventory Control

REPORTS TO:  Logistics Specialist

SUPERVISES: None

JOB CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Factory

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct audits of both finished goods and in process product in all inventory locations.
  • Record and make corrections of errors found.
  • Make corrections in Access database.
  • Complete daily audits as required.
  • Run and prepare audit reports as needed.
  • Alert Supervisor to any problems.
  • Clearly document and report to Supervisor daily errors found.
  • Pressure test 55gal drums, certify for reuse.
  • Clean totes – water and solvent based.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Flexible to work any shift.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Wear all required safety PPE and perform all work duties in a safe manner.
  • Forklift certified and have the ability to work safely at elevated heights.
  • Ability to use a PC for data entry.
  • Working knowledge of inventory system (SAP).
  • Complete successful interview with Cost Accounting Manager.
  • Must pass basic math assessment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Distribution and Manufacturing processes.
  • Communication – ability to communicate verbally or non-verbally.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Visual aptitude – must be able to see with or without correction.
  • Must be able to perform math – addition, subtraction, multiplication.
  • Must be able to perform conversion (kg to lb)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform standing job for 10 consecutive hours.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during a consecutive 10 hour period.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
