Position Summary:

 

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial statements, invoices, bookkeeping tasks, utilizing accounting software, preparing journal entries, and assisting in financial tasks.

 

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Prepare financial statements and routine reports
  • Record and post journal entries in accounting software (QuickBooks)
  • Monitor inventory levels of dental and office supplies
  • Place and manage supply orders, ensuring timely restocking
  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, orders, and discrepancies
  • Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and cost control
  • Responsible for adhering to all government regulations and company standards
  • Travel to other Columbia Dental locations to provide coverage when requested by President and superiors
  • Other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Financial Statements, Bookkeeping, and Accounting Software proficiency (QuickBooks)
  • Experience in Finance and Journal Entries (Accounting)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of financial principles and practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Prior work experience in a similar position
  • Able to pass background checks

 

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged hours of sitting at a desk
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate electronic equipment, keyboard, copier, telephone, and the ability to write/type
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds occasionally
