Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Mandan, ND 58554Position Type: Part TimeJOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for preparing meals in accordance with the customers preferences. The individual will use a grill, fryers, and other equipment to complete their duties. The grill cook will work in a fast-paced environment and work with the concessions workers to get food out to patrons in a timely manner. The ideal grill cook should be a skilled multi-tasker who adheres to food safety codes. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES Serve food and beverages to customers in a fast-paced environment. Check that ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption. Clean counters, dishes, floors and all other equipment daily alongside the concession workers. Ensure workstation remains clean and orderly at all times. Cleaning the grill, fryers, and grill area at the end of each shift. Ensure all sanitation procedures are followed. Respond to upset patrons and offer solutions to concerns and complaints with a positive attitude. Recognize, respond, and report all unsafe conditions. Perform other related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Has shown strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Has at least 1 year experience in the Raging Rivers Concessions. Must be 16 years of age or older. Communicate instructions in a professional and enthusiastic manner. Adhere to a uniform policy and grooming standards. Display maturity, responsibility, and dependability. Capacity to stand for long hours. Thorough knowledge of food safety guidelines. Ability to work as a team. WORK AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS The work is typically performed inside Raging Rivers concessions area, and occasionally in hot or inclement weather.  The employee occasionally lifts light and heavy objects, climbs ladders and uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.  The employee may be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, irritating chemicals and machinery with moving parts.  The employee will also be working around hot food and will follow personal protective protocols. WORK HOURS Most work hours are performed between 10:00 am – 9:00 pm all days of the week. Some days may be required to come in early or stay late to ensure all duties are completed.
