Overview

ValCorp is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support daily terminal operations at DFSP Tampa. This role assists the Terminal Superintendent in managing operations, maintenance, quality, and compliance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily terminal operations including pipeline receipts, tank farm operations, and truck loading.
  • Assist in supervising operators, mechanics, and security personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with PWS requirements, SOPs, and safety standards.
  • Support product quality surveillance, sampling, and testing activities.
  • Assist with maintenance scheduling, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with government representatives, inspectors, and auditors.
  • Provide operational leadership during Superintendent absence.

Minimum Qualifications (Per PWS C‑1.11.3)

  • Three (3) years' experience in fuel terminal operations within the last 5 years, including:
    • Pipeline, tank truck, and barge/tanker operations
    • Bulk petroleum storage
    • Terminal maintenance and repair
  • Strong understanding of DoD fuels, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership and operational coordination skills.

All Contractor personnel performing work under this contract must complete a favorable background investigation and be eligible to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC).
