The Role

We’re hiring compassionate and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technicians and Scribes to support our providers and enhance the patient experience.

In this role, you’ll perform pre-exam testing, document patient encounters in the EMR, assist during exams and procedures, and help ensure smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.

You play a key role in helping our physicians diagnose and treat eye conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain and document patient history

  • Perform vision testing (distance, near, peripheral, depth, color)

  • Administer eye drops (dilating, anesthetic, medicated)

  • Conduct routine and ancillary ophthalmic testing

  • Scribe and document provider findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans

  • Triage urgent cases and maintain patient flow

  • Prepare exam/procedure rooms and assist physicians as needed

  • Perform basic equipment maintenance

  • Follow infection control and confidentiality standards

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment

  • EMR experience preferred

  • Knowledge of ocular pharmacology is a plus

  • Positive, team-oriented attitude

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 10 lbs

Ophthalmology or medical office experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
