JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Non-Exempt Position

REPORTS TO: Production Engineering Manager

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance

BASIC FUNCTION:

Entry level Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of all production machinery and equipment in Manheim and Elizabethtown facilities.

GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform all routine preventative maintenance to production & facility equipment at both facilities.
Troubleshoot and perform required repairs to production & facility equipment at both facilities.
Manage PM Coordinator maintenance software to maintain proper records of maintenance program.
Installation of new and existing equipment
Work with outside vendors and service providers to accomplish required tasks.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician
Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and other systems
Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
Experience in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, powered tools, and floor scrubbers
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain positive vendor and client relationships

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Occasional bending, squatting, and lifting.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Demonstrate a positive attitude.
Build business relationships primarily around good, solid, and courteous service, followed by individual rapport. Avoid excuses or negative explanations.

Conduct all interactions with customers, vendors, field sales co-workers, and supervisors in a focused, positive, courteous, and respectful manner.
Regular attendance is an essential element of the job. Unplanned absences have the potential to impair the operation of the department and diminish effectiveness of the company.
