Location: Manitowoc

Hours: 6am - 2pm Monday through Friday with occasional overtime

Salary: Starting at $21.50

Job Summary: We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented team leader to join our Fabrication team in Manitowoc. This role plays a key part in supporting production operations by ensuring technicians have the materials and resources needed to maintain workflow, while also tracking downtime and quality metrics. This position also serves as a backup to the Production Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Assist the Production Coordinator with daily operations, job setup, and technician support
• Monitor production flow and ensure technicians have necessary materials
• Coordinate packaging and skidding of fabricated parts
• Troubleshoot fabrication equipment (presses, saws)
• Maintain production display boards and document downtime/quality issues 
• Step in to assist with production tasks as needed
• Suggest and support productivity and efficiency improvements
• Promote and maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Train new employees on PPE and safety protocols

Qualifications and Skills Needed:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent  
• Prior leadership or production support experience preferred  
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email
• Familiarity with BPCS system or willingness to learn
• Solid understanding of fabrication processes and product knowledge
