Job Summary

To manage the day-to-day operation of the plant, ensuring product is manufactured timely to meet customer orders.  Ensure compliance in all areas of safety, product quality and regulatory compliance.  

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise the employees to ensure proper procedures are followed for the manufacture, warehousing and delivery of products.  Provide training, leadership and performance coaching as needed to ensure the success of the employees. 
  • Lead and support the Safety First programs to achieve the goal of World Class Safety.   
  • Utilize the AX system as designed for all areas of responsibility, including production scheduling, inventory control, order taking and invoicing.
  • Develop annual budget and capital expenditures plans for the location under the guidance of the Director of Manufacturing.  
  • Develop operational goals and objectives for the location that will support the strategic goals of the business unit and of Ridley.  
  • Assist in achieving strategic goals as established/announced each year (i.e. inventory goals, shrink goals, established benchmarking goals). 
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and all governmental regulatory agencies (e.g. OSHA, EPA, and FDA) with regards to products, safety and employment.
  • Assist in investigation and resolution of customer complaints regarding product quality.  
  • Ensure product quality and customer service meets Akralos standards. 
  • Collaborate with other Plant Managers within Ridley to share ideas, processes and information. 

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to present material with energy and enthusiasm to motivate and influence people.
  • Computer skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • History of working safely and a reputation for promoting and getting involved in safety improvement efforts.
