Job Description

Amcor Flexibles – Mankato at 2111 3rd Avenue, is searching for a daytime Film Production Supervisor to lead a crew of 12 on a 12-hour shift from 6 am to 6 pm. The Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all shift production employees and production equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure safety requirements are met and that all employees have their PPE available and are using it correctly
  • Assures proper set-ups and quality checks are being completed.
  • Assign personnel to production lines
  • Meet production, quality and quantity standards on all lines
  • Operate and troubleshoot all aspects of the production floor on day-to-day processes 
  • Implement training programs for operators to learn the components of extrusion  
  • Must know resin system and the various resins used for their application and in what capacity
  • Notifies Production Manager regarding equipment and maintenance problems, advice on quality problems.
  • Collect data during the shift regarding line speeds, output rates, downtime. 
  • Able to work twelve-hour shifts and overtime when needed.
  • Analyze employee skills in cross training programs and arrange training as required. 
  • Conducts performance appraisals.
  • Counsels’ employees as needed about work performance, attendance, safety or other issues. 
  • Conducts monthly meetings to keep employees informed on production goals, company policies/rules and safety.
  • Attend other meetings as required by Management. 
  • Make recommendations or suggestions to improve processes and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of blown/cast film manufacturing experience.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills. 
  • Computer and mechanical background a plus.

COMPENSATION:

The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $75,000 - $85,000.
