At Slaymaker Electric & Motor, our Customer Service Representatives are the face of our business. They create a positive first impression by providing outstanding service to customers over the phone and in person while helping keep our service department running efficiently.


This role combines customer service, administrative support, and light warehouse responsibilities. You'll answer phones, create repair orders, assist customers with motor drop-offs and pickups, coordinate with our technicians, and occasionally operate a forklift to safely move motors throughout the shop.


What You'll Do

  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate team members. 
  • Welcome customers and provide exceptional service in person and over the phone. 
  • Write up repair orders with accurate customer and equipment information. 
  • Assist customers with dropping off and picking up electric motors and equipment. 
  • Communicate repair updates and completion status to customers. 
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure work orders are complete and accurate. 
  • Process customer payments and complete service paperwork. 
  • Enter and maintain repair orders in the shop management system. 
  • Operate a forklift (training provided) to move motors safely throughout the shop. 
  • Maintain an organized front office and customer service area. 
  • Support daily administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.

  • Comfortable using computers and learning new software. 
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever needed. 
  • Forklift experience is a plus, but we will provide training. 

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently stand, walk, and sit throughout the workday. 
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Safely operate a forklift after training. 
  • Work in both an office and shop environment.
