We’re currently seeking a dedicated Lead Registration Representative to join our Registration Department at our Ontario location.

Position Overview

Performs the necessary activities to obtain accurate demographic, financial, and pre-authorization information required to create payable third-party claims and patient responsibility estimates. Appropriately greets patients and families and assists other organizational personnel in coordinating the patient’s visit to ensure the most positive and memorable experience possible. Leads the registration team in a manner that inspires them to exceed expectations and provides them with the tools they need to do so. 

Qualifications

Required:

• High school graduate or equivalent.

• Fully knowledgeable of and conducts all activities in accordance with regulatory compliance requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA rules and regulations, Medicare Secondary Payer Screening requirements, medical necessity screening and ABN rules, and Red Flag Rules. 
• Knowledge and understanding of AHS managed care payer rules. 
• Previous hospital or physician practice registration experience.

Preferred:

• Previous supervisory experience. 
• AAHAM or HFMA certification, or active pursuit of certification.
• Previous hospital billing experience and demonstrated knowledge of third-party and self-pay billing procedures and claim review and analysis.
