Molding Maintenance I- 2nd shift

Job Summary:

Molding Maintenance supports Molding Operations by maintaining molding machines and auxiliary equipment. 

Duties & Essential Job Functions: 

1. Troubleshoot and repair all injection molding machines and molding auxiliary equipment. 
2. Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
3. Set up and operate machines, and adjust controls to regulate operations.
4. Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
5. Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
6. Safely performs task to ensure safety of all employees.
7. Performs preventative maintenance on machines and document as called out in the procedures.
8. Assists in training of Molding Maintenance II worker(s).
9. Install and set-up equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Hydraulics, or HVAC 
• 2 – 3 years’ Molding Maintenance experience.

Preferred Qualification:

• Certificate of training in hydraulics, electrical, and electronics

General Conditions

Shift 8 to 10 hours a day

Breaks 30 minute lunch, two 10 minute breaks

Flooring cement

Lighting in door

Temperature controlled but works around hot temperatures (600 degrees)

Safety Equipment safety glasses; heat resistant gloves; ear protection

Tools and Equipment

power tools, vibrating tools; hand tools; electrical tools; air tools; forklift; tool box with rollers 

PHYSICAL DUTIES:

• Strength Range heavy range of worker strength
• performs hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical operations
• perform regular preventative maintenance on machines 
• will pull parts and change oil on machines
• will use forklift to move large pieces of equipment
• perform electrical wiring on machines
• maintains water station by changing pump (250lbs) twice per year
