The Project Support Specialist (PSS) plays a critical role in supporting Emerson customers by serving as a key connection between customers and manufacturing operations. This role ensures timely communication, coordination, and execution of manufacturing activities while aligning internal teams around customer expectations. The PSS helps drive predictable outcomes, strong customer relationships, and successful order execution in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Provide manufacturing lead time quotations in response to customer requests.
  • Support the development and execution of manufacturing milestone plans for critical orders and customer outage requirements.
  • Manage Built Not Shipped (BNS) and order date activities for assigned Impact Partners and customers.
  • Coordinate factory actions for assigned orders by partnering with Production Planning, Production Scheduling, and other cross‑functional teams.
  • Support Production Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, and other departments as needed to ensure successful order execution.
  • Monitor order progress to ensure commitments made to customers are met or exceeded.
  • Proactively expedite cross‑functional activities at the appropriate level to achieve business objectives when challenges arise.
  • Provide regular, timely progress updates to customers, clearly communicating any deviations from the original plan.
  • Prepare inspection and shipping schedules to ensure orders ship on time in alignment with customer requirements.
  • Schedule, prepare for, and lead customer witness hold points and inspections.
  • Coordinate and support video inspections, including live‑streamed and pre‑recorded formats, as required.
  • Host and manage customer or representative visits and inspections at the manufacturing site.
  • Assist with factory tours and related customer engagements.

Who You Are:
You build effective relationships by communicating clearly and adapting your approach to meet the needs of different audiences. You plan and organize work in a structured way, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. You take initiative, anticipate potential challenges, and work collaboratively across teams to deliver results that align with customer commitments and business objectives.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • An associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in a customer‑facing role
  • Exposure to or experience within manufacturing or operations environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis
  • Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external partners

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Additional experience working in manufacturing or operations environments
  • Experience using material requirements planning (MRP) systems
  • Familiarity with Oracle
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems

Our compensation philosophy is simple: We pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The total target comp range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
