The Senior Product Compliance Engineer is responsible for reviewing projects to ensure product compliance is achieved in a proactive and documented manner. This position will also be responsible for providing the new product development team with compliance direction for projects as they navigate the design phases and maintaining an awareness of regulatory compliance matters to leverage and fulfill certifications for products. This position also resolves compliance issues, recommends process changes.

1. Collaborate with external groups and internal engineering planning and design teams to ensure compliance standards.
2. Participate in Product Scope Reviews to ensure new products are appropriately planned for with regards to market regulations and consensus standards.
3. Ability to understand and navigate consensus standards and work with Engineering to appropriately design products to meet requirements
4. Participate in Test Plan process to verify products meet any compliance performance requirements
5. Review marketing collateral to ensure market compliance and standard compliance.
6. Review product markings to ensure compliance to relevant standards/regulations
7. Interprets federal/state/international regulations as they apply to our products, processes and/or procedures and advises on impact of regulations.
8. Audits and evaluates current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with regulations and statutes.
9. Research emerging compliance engineering practices and standards.
10. Work with regulatory agencies and 3rd Party Test Labs to obtain accurate reports and documentation.
11. Work with Sales, Product Support, and Customer Service to address customer requests
12. Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of role.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience required. Knowledge and understanding of Industry, Federal and State OSHA, and Municipality safety and product standards/regulations, testing and certification requirements, and ISO and US Consensus related symbols is required. Experience with manufacturing methods and procedures preferred. Must posses strong technical and analytical skills, planning and organizational skills, and be capable of facilitating projects and solutions. Must have strong technical and analytical skills.
