Responsibilities

As aĀ Fiber Splicer, youĀ are responsible for producingĀ end-to-end fiber optic networks.Ā You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.Ā Ā 

Ā 

In addition, you will:Ā 

  • Testing and troubleshooting the continuity of fiber optic networksĀ 
  • Operate all testing equipment and be adept at the resolution of challenges common to fiber optic networksĀ 
  • Experience prepping fiber splice enclosures such as Tyco,Ā CommScope, Corning, etc.Ā 
  • Utilize fusion splicer, test equipment OTDR (Optical Time-DomainĀ Reflectometer) 1310, 1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, Power meterĀ Ā 
  • Fiber engineer knowledge of fiber design, reading documentation, understanding of light levels, and dB loss
  • Work in outdoor utility construction sitesĀ

  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of qualityĀ 
  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
  • You are looking for long-term projects
  • You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team
  • You have at least 3-5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experienceĀ 
  • You are comfortable working on a ladder or a bucket truckĀ 
  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
  • You are flexible and enjoy a variety of shifts with overtimeĀ Ā

Compensation of $32-$36 per hour, depending on the experience.

Additional details:

  • Overtime pay will be provided in accordance with California labor laws, at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for hours worked over 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a workweek
  • Rest and Meal Breaks will be compensated for paid rest periods and granted unpaid meal breaks in accordance with California labor laws
