Role Overview:Â
An Agriculture Field Scout Iis responsible for pest trap placement and monitoring/recording pest activity of various crops and pests. The Field Scout works closely with the field sales team and the operations support team.  **THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION**
A Sample of What You’ll Do in this Role:Â
Prepare and install traps for placement in the field Â
Inspect and monitortraps on a weekly basis Â
Maintain data counts of the number of pests trapped Â
Use GPS technology to map fields Â
Comply with company safety standards Â
Take soil samples as needed or directed by sales Â
Scout crops for economic pests and report to the appropriate Sales RepresentativeÂ
What You Bring to the Role:Â
A strong interest in Agriculture, Plant Science, or Horticulture Â
Intermediate level proficiency with standard software including MS Office Suite Â
Ability to safely operate a vehicle within state laws and company policies and guidelinesÂ
Knowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)Â
What Makes You a Great Fit:Â
You haveexcellent interpersonal skills Â
You can repetitively bend, kneel, and walk long distances while working in a non-climate-controlled environment and outside in inclement weather Â
You have excellent math skills and the ability to maintainaccurate counts Â
You are dependable and reliableÂ
You’re willing to work overtime and occasionally work on Saturdays Â
Compensation and Benefits:Â Â
The base compensation for this position ranges from $16.83 to $22.47 per hour. Please note that wages may vary depending on skills and experience. Â
