Position SummaryĀ
The ESS Line LeadĀ is responsible forĀ overseeing daily production activities on the energy storage system assembly line. This role serves as the first level of leadership on the floor, ensuring safe, efficient, andĀ highāqualityĀ production through effective team coordination, technical guidance, andĀ crossāfunctionalĀ communication.Ā
Key ResponsibilitiesĀ
Line Leadership & Team CoordinationĀ
- Lead and coordinate the daily work of ESS line operatorsĀ
- Assign tasks based on production plans, skill levels, and prioritiesĀ
- Monitor workflow to ensure smooth operationsĀ andĀ onātimeĀ production outputĀ
- ProvideĀ onātheājobĀ guidance, coaching, and support to operatorsĀ
Electrical & Drawing BasicsĀ
- Apply basic knowledge of electrical components and simple wiring during assemblyĀ
- Read and interpret basic mechanical and electrical drawings to guide assembly workĀ
- Support operators in understanding work instructions and technical requirementsĀ
CrossāDepartmentĀ CommunicationĀ
- Communicate clearly and effectively with Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Production Planning teamsĀ
- Escalate issues related to materials, quality, tooling, or processesĀ in a timely mannerĀ
- Support engineering changes, quality actions, and production adjustments as neededĀ
ProblemāSolving & ReportingĀ
- IdentifyĀ production, quality, or safety issues on the lineĀ
- Take immediate corrective actions within scope and escalate whenĀ requiredĀ
- Track issues, downtime, and output, and provide clear daily and weekly reports to supervisorsĀ
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiativesĀ
Quality & 5S AwarenessĀ
- Maintain strong quality awareness and ensure operators follow standard work and quality proceduresĀ
- Perform line checks and verify compliance with quality standardsĀ
- Uphold 5S discipline toĀ maintainĀ a clean, organized, and safe production areaĀ
Required QualificationsĀ
- Basic understanding of electrical components, wiring, and assembly processesĀ
- Ability to read simple mechanical and electrical drawingsĀ
- Prior experience leading or coordinating a production or assembly lineĀ
- Strong communicationĀ and organizational skillsĀ
- Working knowledge of quality standards and 5S principlesĀ

Preferred QualificationsĀ
- Experience in energy storage systems, battery manufacturing, or electrical assemblyĀ
- PreviousĀ experience as a Line Lead, Team Lead, or Senior OperatorĀ
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practicesĀ
