Job Title: Pharmacist

Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with physicians' prescriptions and legal requirements
- Provide counseling to patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping for all prescriptions and transactions
- Manage inventory levels, order medications, and ensure proper storage conditions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed
- Stay updated on new medications, industry regulations, and best practices
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid pharmacist license in the relevant state or jurisdiction
- Degree in Pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy - PharmD) from an accredited institution
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and pharmacy law
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and patient counseling abilities
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and handle multiple tasks
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and technology
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and maintaining confidentiality

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Job Qualifications include:
- Must hold current Utah Pharmacist License and be able to practice in the State of Utah with no restrictions.
- Must hold current Utah Controlled Substance Pharmacist License and be able to practice in the State of Utah with no restrictions.
- Must be knowledgeable of current State and Federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution, dispensing of medications including, but not limited to legend drugs, Over the counter (OTC) medications, controlled substances, hazardous drugs, and investigation medications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to carry, hear/listen, lift, reach and manipulate objects, tools, or equipment, see, speak, and sit 80% of day. Position requires moving materials weighing 10 – 20 pounds, and 25 – 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 80% of the work period. Work involves the potential for exposure to infection. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Â
