About the Role The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of refrigeration systems, facility infrastructure, and distribution center equipment within a temperature-controlled warehouse environment. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, supporting product quality, and minimizing downtime across the facility. What You’ll Do Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems, conveyor systems, and material handling equipment to support continuous operations Ensure facility infrastructure is maintained, including general building upkeep and basic construction tasks such as drywall, framing, and painting Monitor and adjust equipment settings to meet operational needs and maintain product quality standards Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues efficiently Build, repair, and maintain storage systems, including pallet racking, CFR racking, and shelving Partner with external contractors to support maintenance activities and ensure equipment reliability Maintain safe, compliant, and well-functioning equipment and facility conditions Work Environment & Physical Requirements   This role requires the ability to work in a warehouse and refrigerated environment (approximately 34°F) and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 60 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
