Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Inside Sales – Crane Parts professional to join our team in the Houston area. This position plays an important role in supporting our customers and parts operations by researching and sourcing crane and industrial equipment parts, preparing customer quotations, processing orders, tracking costs, and coordinating with vendors.

The ideal candidate has prior parts sales experience, strong technical knowledge of crane and industrial components, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer requests for quotes (RFQs) and parts inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Research and identify parts through manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Source and procure crane and industrial equipment parts.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for customers.
  • Follow up on open quotations and customer inquiries.
  • Place purchase orders with vendors and coordinate order fulfillment.
  • Track orders and provide customers with status updates as needed.
  • Maintain accurate Excel cost sheets for parts associated with each job.
  • Track parts returns to vendors and follow through to ensure applicable credits are received.
  • Maintain organized records of RFQs, quotations, purchase orders, costs, and related documentation.
  • Communicate order updates, delays, pricing concerns, and other issues to the Lead and Parts Manager.
  • Work closely with customers, vendors, and internal team members to resolve parts-related questions and issues.
  • Help ensure accurate and efficient processing of parts orders from initial inquiry through completion.

 

Experience & Technical Knowledge


Candidates should have experience with or working knowledge of components including:

  • Crane parts and components
  • Gearboxes
  • Pumps
  • Electric and hydraulic motors
  • Winches
  • Brakes
  • Wire rope
  • Related industrial and lifting equipment components

 

Qualifications



  • Minimum 2 years of parts sales experience required.
  • Crane, heavy equipment, industrial, marine, or related parts experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to research and source parts from multiple vendors.
  • Previous experience preparing customer quotations and processing purchase orders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, tracking, and follow-up abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing requests.
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and dependable follow-through.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.



Employment Requirements



  • Must be local to the Houston, Texas area.
  • Must successfully complete required pre-employment screening.
