Position Overview

Seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead a centerbased classroom serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This 1.0 FTE position supports a structured and collaborative program focused on individualized instruction and student growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction for 9 students with ASD in grades 45

• Lead and support a team of 3 paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs aligned with district and state standards

• Create a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

• Collect data and maintain required documentation and progress reports

• Support communication, behavior regulation, and functional skill development

Qualifications

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (ASD licensure preferred)

• Experience in centerbased ASD programming preferred

• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

• Ability to lead support staff and implement behavior strategies effectively
