Staff Accountant 

Eastern Lift Truck Co., Inc. (ELTC) is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of accounting and financial functions. The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented professional who is eager to develop their skills and contribute to a dynamic accounting environment with opportunities for advancement.

Main Duties:
The Staff Accountant will support the Finance and Accounting team across a variety of core accounting functions, including:

• Maintaining the integrity and structure of the general ledger for both branch and corporate accounts
• Preparing and posting journal entries
• Performing general ledger account reconciliations
• Managing daily banking activity and assisting with cash flow monitoring and analysis
• Performing financial analysis and supporting management reporting
• Assisting with the preparation and review of sales tax filings and compliance activities
• Assisting with the calculation and analysis of sales commissions
• Supporting the Controller in continuous improvement efforts within the department
• Completing additional assignments, strategic initiatives, and special projects as directed by the Controller

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• 2–3 years of general ledger or accounting experience preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to learn and work within the accounting modules of the company’s business management system
• Experience in the material handling or mobile equipment industry is a plus

Compensation:

This position is a salaried position of a salaried range between 80-110k
