Position Summary

Rustica is seeking a dependable and hardworking Woods Utility – Night Shift team member to support the production operations of our Woods Department. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in woodworking and manufacturing who is eager to learn and grow with the company.

This position reports directly to the Woods Department Night Shift Manager and plays a key role in ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and customer expectations are met. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, enjoys working with their hands, and thrives in a fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with wood preparation, sanding, measuring, cutting, gluing, assembly, and finishing of customer orders.
  • Support production teams by staging materials, moving product, and maintaining workflow throughout the shift.
  • Safely operate woodworking equipment after receiving training.
  • Maintain quality standards by ensuring products meet specifications and customer requirements.
  • Read and follow work orders, shop drawings, and production instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Assist the Night Shift Manager with production priorities and special projects as assigned.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to learn woodworking processes and equipment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Desire to learn new skills and grow within the company.
  • Previous woodworking, cabinetry, construction, manufacturing, or shop experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to frequently lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a 10-hour shift.
  • Ability to safely operate shop equipment after training.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic woodworking or carpentry experience.
  • Experience operating woodworking machinery.
  • Ability to read shop drawings or blueprints.

Schedule

Night Shift

  • Monday – Thursday
  • Approximately 4:30 PM – 2:00 AM (final schedule may vary based on production needs)
