This position is responsible for ensuring that food items are efficiently received, stored, and distributed to various community programs, helping to alleviate hunger and improve food security in Utah. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with the receiving and unloading of food donations and deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality control. - Organize and store food items in designated areas within the warehouse, maintaining a clean and orderly environment. - Prepare food orders for distribution to partner agencies, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment. - Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe and efficient manner. - Participate in inventory management activities, including counting and tracking stock levels. - Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse processes and enhance efficiency. - Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. - Support special projects and events as needed, contributing to the overall mission of Utah Food Bank.Qualifications Required Education: - High school diploma or equivalent. Required Experience: - Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred. - Experience with inventory management systems and basic computer skills. Required Skills and Abilities: - Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 50 pounds, safely and efficiently. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures. - Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
